evolution didn’t ship body apis

it’s kinda fascinating that evolution didn’t ship apis for the body.

e.g. you can’t read your cortisol or write to your heart rate.

the nervous system roughly exposes two endpoints for managing these.. breath & movement. both of which are indirect.
