sincere callouts are free goods

the internet skews negative cuz outrage is what the algo rewards.

i personally try to push the other way by sending genuine appreciation when someone ships great work, takes a real risk, or just posts something that made me think. i often do it privately but i also do my best to try & do it publicly as much as possible. a specific sincere callout naming the actual thing is one of the few free goods left online.
