being a predator is not easy mode

it's fascinating that so many ppl think being predator is easy mode & prey is hard mode. that's mostly backwards.

being a predator is brutal for almost all of them. cuz it's a constant grind just to live. you got a broken tooth? starve. infected tooth? starve. sprained leg? goodbye. sick & can't run? starve.

there is no buffer. a predator is basically a high variance athlete with no retirement, no off season, & no margin for decline. you have to keep winning or your body parts starts collecting debt. predators have to keep proving they deserve to exist whereas prey can just eat grass be part of the herd unless they get unlucky.
